For our science project we were asked to get into groups and make a prezi and movie on our science chapter witch was heat transfer. We showed heat transfer by making a movie on a russian couple wanting to by an ecofriendly house. we equiped the houses with solar pannels, geothermal heating and double insulation. I hope u enjoy it.
As an assinment we were asked to make a prezi about a world problem thats happening today. I choose to do my prezi on Racism. I hope you enjoy my prezi and if you are racist or know somone who is maybe you could give them a few pointers on how to stop racism.
As an assinment we were asked to make a glog on a key term that we used in chapter 10-12 in our grade 7 science textbook. The key term that i decided to turn into a glog on the meaning and differnt types of it around your community was about Mechanical Energy. Bullying has infested schools around the world and it is time to put on end to this madness. No kid should have to live a life on a way that someone sees them.
It has been shown that every 1 in 4 kids are bullied regularly on a school day. Statistics have shown that 8% of students miss one day of school to the issue of bullies threating them or they don’t want to go through the hassle of bullies. If you add that 8% of kids a month that get bullied and miss one day of school 96% of students in all the schools around the world miss twelve days of school in the matter of one year.
There are three main types of bully’s verbal bullying which means when the bullying happens through words being said to them or behind there back. Physical bullying which means that the bully uses actions like kicking punching when they bully. The final way that bullies bully it called cyber bullying. When a bully bullies through a way called cyber bullying it means that the bully goes to an online website like Facebook or twitter and sends his victims threatening messages or putdowns.
Sometimes parents or kids use the excuse that boys will be boys to the fact of bullying. This statement is not true no kid should not want to go to school afraid that he or she will be bullied.
As you have read bullying is building up to be a huge issue that is not tolerated so for those of you who see bullying help put a stop to this madness.
The most changing event that I included in my video is the riot in Vancouver. To me this is the most changing event to me because I live in Canada, and when one of the larger cities in Canada has a huge riot over one hockey game just because there team lost it gives Canadians a bad reputation, if one of Canada’s bigger cities makes a big fuss over one game it sets the standard for the rest of the country and from that action it wasn’t a good one.
So this post is the last post of the year for the 2011 challenge and it’s about nomanations so here it is.

The first nomanation for best individual blog is RNW’s Blog. I choose this blog as the best individual blog because he post all the time and his post are very interesting to read because they are full of grteat topics
Best Student Blog
The blog that I choose for the best student blog is Bryses Blog. I choose this blog because he has interesting post and it’s his first year of bloging just like me and he’s doing really good.
I wrote 26 post in total this year.
How many were school based, your own interests or set by the challenge?
There were was only one that was school related. There where three that where based on my own interest and 22 set by the challenge.
The total number of comments that I recived this year where 26.
The post that recived the most comments on my blog was about my family. I think that this post got the most comments because people like to read about what kind of person you are and if you compare to there family.
Which post did you enjoy writing the most and why?
The post that I enjoyed the most was about what are favourite thing to do in the world was because I like to write about things I like to Do and i enjoy reading about them.
Yes I did because through out the challenge We got premium themes and I liked them better.
I have 15 wigets and I think that it’s just enough.

Our teacher had a post on our class blog.

The challenges that were most useful to me were the ones where you had to visit other peoples blogs.

The challenges that were most interesting were the ones that talked about your favourite hobbies.
What would be some other topics you would like included in future challenges?
Some other topics that I would like to includ in future challenges are about your favourite music artist.
Are more tutorial type challenges needed? how to make a link in your post
No I don’t think so because it’s not that hard to do the challenge.
Were the ‘Visit these’ posts useful?
Yes they were because when you were stuck on what to write you could look at other peoples blogs and get some ideas.
Were the challenges where you had to embed ie polls, cartoons, wallwisher etc interesting or could you not embed due to being a free Edublogs blog or a blogging platform that didn’t allow embedding?
I could not do this with the type of blog that I had.
Were there enough chances to visit blogs from overseas and make links with other students/classes?
Yes I found that there were enough challenges that let us do this.
Classes that registered – were there enough activities specific to classes?
No there wern’t.
Did you make global connections?
Yes I did because there are so many global issues out there it wasn’t hard to make connections.
Anything else you would like to mention about the challenge in particular?
I found that the challenge was very fun and it was a great experience and it really helped me with my writing in school.
